The Brothers Grimm: Jacob (1785- 1863) and Wilhelm Grimm (1786 -  1859), were German academics who were best known for publishing collections of folk tales and classic fairy tales, which became very popular.

 

 

Fun Fact: The show "Grimm" is based on the Grimm Brothers' Fairy Tales.

 

Choose one of the following Brothers Grimm Fairy Tales. Click on the link to read the original version of the story. Next, simplify it (about 1 paragraph long), and re-write it as a "Fractured Fairy Tale."

• Rewrite it with a modern-day setting
